Arms: Argent, a wyvern Gules.
Crest: An eagle Gules.
Drake arms circa 13th century. A Drake seal featuring an eagle was used around 1240. The use of the eagle might have been the result of the Drakes' service as under-tenants of the Camvilles, whose arms included an eagle. This crest probably inspired the family motto "Aquila non captat muscas" which translated means, "The eagle catches no flies." This motto persisted after the crest was set aside.
