The drum Sir Francis Drake carried around the world.  It depicts the arms granted by Clarencieux Cook in 1581.  Legend has it that this drum sounds whenever England is threatened.  It was heard by Wellington and also by Nelson.  It sound was heard in 1918 when the German navy surrendered and was reported at Dunkirk.  See Drake's Drum.
